About the packages

Enjoy a half-day (morning or afternoon) of humpback, Whale Watching with Whalesong and a full day exploring the World's largest sand island, Fraser Island. You can choose to go whale watching one day and then go off to Fraser Island the next, or vice versa, or even skip a day or two in between. Plan your package how you want because we're completely flexible

Experience the diversity of Fraser’s flora and fauna as you drive on sand tracks through bush scrub with Scribbly Gums and Eucalypts to ancient rainforests filled with Satinays, ferns and Hoop Pine. Visit Central Station and walk along the boardwalk beside Wanggoolba Creek, known as the invisible creek for its crystal-clear waters.

Our longest stop is at the most photographed site in Queensland, Lake McKenzie with its dazzling white sands and clear blue waters. As a result, there’s plenty of time for a refreshing swim and photography before moving on to the famous 75 mile beach.

See the coloured sands and the Maheno Shipwreck on the beach. Then there’s one last stop for a swim at Eli Creek, the largest freshwater creek on the Eastern beach before heading home.

The exact order of the day, depends on tides and weather. Your day tour takes you to some of the top spots on Fraser Island and includes:

NB: K'gari Explorer operates daily. The other tours operate daily except Sundays, so please select accordingly.

Remember to choose the date/time based on your Whale Watch cruise with Whalesong. You can then select your preferred Fraser Island Tour date, in the details within the booking form. You will need to select 2 dates, as the first date may not be available. Also, if you're booking an Island tour on one of the smaller group tours, in peak season (December-February or July-October), there may not be any availability, especially if you're only booking a month or two in advance. Unfortunately, you cannot tell this at time of booking (as the package is provided by 2 different operators and our booking systems don't talk to each other), if there's availability for the Island tour. We'll get back to you to arrange alternative tours (or refunds for the Island tour), if your first choice cannot be met.
