Extended Morning Whale Watch: 5 hours, 8am - 1pm: Morning tea and Lunch included
Whalesong's Extended Morning Whale Watch will get you out on the Bay and interacting with the whales before the other boats, but still back in time to be able to make use of your afternoon. Of all the morning cruises, Whalesong's spends the longest on the whales. In addition, enjoy unlimited hot drinks, water, morning tea (fresh fruit platter and cake selection), lunch (cold roast chicken, ham, greek salad, green salad, potato salad and fresh bread) whilst cruising back to the marina.
Afternoon + Sunset Whale Watch: 4 hours +, 2pm - 6pm-ish: Afternoon tea and Dinner included
Our Afternoon Cruise is great if you want to optimise your time in Hervey Bay as it enables you to fit in a whale watch cruise on the same day you arrive as we're the last full-service boat (in other words, includes food and courtesy hotel transfers) to leave in the afternoon. Enjoy unlimited hot drinks, afternoon tea grazing platter (cheeses, cured meats, crackers, vege sticks and dips) whilst watching the whales. During the cruise back to the marina, we enjoy a dinner (roast chicken, ham, greek salad, green salad, potato salad and fresh bread) whilst taking in a stunning sunset Hervey Bay is known for.

With wildlife being unpredictable and Whalesong wanting to give you the best viewing possibilities, we may be up to 30 minutes late back to the marina. Please budget for this in your schedule.
You will not miss the courtesy bus, if we are late, as the skipper will have informed the office and bus driver.
We're surveyed for 100 people but only take up to 70 guests for guest comfort.
Yes. We have no minimum or maximum age on this cruise. Parents, we have colouring in for the children, in times when they need distracted. Please remember, your children are your responsibility. Whilst our crew are friendly, accommodating and great with children, they aren't there to babysit.
Yes. There's plenty of room on board for prams and strollers.
Whalesong is a wheelchair accessible vessel, with ramps for embarking/disembarking, extra wide decks for manoeuvrability and a wheelchair accessible toilet on board.
We are constantly monitoring the weather....it is in our DNA.
There are better days than others. We do not go out if we think it'll be uncomfortable and unsafe. In the case of unfavourable weather, we will call you the day before to discuss your options (move to a different day, subject to cruise availability, strongly advise on taking sea sickness medication, or cancelling and fully refunding your cruise). We want you to enjoy this experience as much as possible!
By the way, we've found the rougher the weather the more surface activity we see from the humpbacks. Rough weather = good whale watching!

This is why we don't start guaranteeing sightings until mid-July even though they could be around before then. It's also why we finish up cruises in early October, earlier than the other boats, as we know the whales will still be here then.
On the rare occasion you don't see a whale, you will be given a free return cruise until you see whales. You are welcome to transfer the voucher to a family member or friend - or, you can trade it in for another cruise with us: Beach + BBQ or Sunset, instead. No refunds will be given.

Besides our incredible team who will look after all your needs, we have a marina based office and guest lounge for exclusive use for Whalesong guests. We are the ONLY half day operator to include meals, so when you get off the boat, you needn't worry about finding somewhere to eat as you'll disembark with a full belly as well as a full heart.
