What tours do you operate?

During Whale Watching season (mid-July to late-October) we run our twice daily Whale Watch Cruises:

  • 5 hour Extended Morning cruise from 8am-1pm
  • 4 hour Afternoon + Sunset cruise from 2pm-6pm(ish) sometime back around 6:30pm
  • From late-June to mid-July (pre guaranteed whale sightings), we offer our 5-6 hour Whale Search/Dolphin Watch cruise: 8am-1pm(ish)

What's included on my cruise?

Each of our cruises Whale Watch, Whale Search cruise or Fraser Island Beach + BBQ

 

What do I bring on my cruise?

Whale Watch or Whale Search cruise: comfortable clothing and shoes, jumper, hat, sunglasses, camera

Fraser Island Beach + BBQ: hat, sunglasses, towel, swimmers, camera

Hervey Bay Sunset Cruise: camera and jumper (if you feel the cold – please note: we have indoor seating available.)

What are your office hours?

Monday-Sunday 7am-7pm

 

Is your boat wheelchair/walker/stroller accessible?

Yes we are accessible for all patrons, with intimate water level viewing, extra
wide viewing areas and a wheelchair accessible toilet.

 

Do I need to check in at the office first?

Yes, as we're in the unique position to have our own marina office

there are a few providers around we take comfort in knowing our guests are getting on the correct vessel and can personally direct you to our boat.
Or/ You can make your own way to the vessel according to boarding time. If you have any outstanding monies to pay, please drop by our office before boarding for your cruise.

 

Do I need to print my ticket?

As part of our eco friendly goal, we don’t require printed tickets; simply state the
name your booking is in to board the boat.

 

Do you offer group discounts?

If your group consists of 10 or more adults, please contact our office to receive our group discounts.

 

Do you honour the Companion Card?

We offer those who hold a companion card the concession price for our cruises during peak season. Off peak we offer 50% discount for the companion card holder (excluding weekends.)

 

Do you cater for vegans, vegetarians, gluten intolerances, dairy intolerances, allergies?

If sufficient notice is provided we are able to cater for dietary requirements or
allergies.

 

Which tour is better for Whale Sightings, morning or afternoon?

Both! The difference is you’ll get an extra hour of Whale Watching in the
morning.

 

Can I bring my infant on board the Fraser Beach + BBQ?

Yes, we can safely get infants over to Fraser Island in our tender. We require
children under 12 to wear a child’s life jacket provided on board. We provide
sand play equipment for the little ones.

 

Are children welcome on the Hervey Bay Sunset Cruise?

Yes! All are welcome.

 

Can I bring my pram/stroller on board?

Yes but please let staff know when you book as there is limited space available to store prams/strollers.

 

Do I need to check in at the office before going to the boat?

If you have to pay for your cruise yes please. Otherwise, just head to the boat for boarding, 15 minutes before departure time.

 

Is local accommodation pick up and drop off complimentary?

We do offer complimentary pick up from local accommodation in the Hervey Bay area. Contact staff at office for your pick up time or enter your pick up location when booking online and you’ll be sent a confirmation via email.

 

Is the boat comfortable and sturdy?
