About Us

A bit more about Whalesong Cruises, the team, the boat and what we do

If we haven't answered all your questions on the 'cruise' pages, please see everything else here.

You can read about the Whalesong Cruises team and what makes each and every one of us tick. We come from varied backgrounds and have all ended up here.  Our passion for the outdoors, nature and wildlife are the things we have most in common.

The boat is open for exploring too, so if you'd like to have a closer look at the vessel, please check out our virtual tour.  There are multiple levels and plenty of indoor as well as outdoor and covered space on the boat.

Ecotourism is something we're very passionate about at Whalesong Cruises. We're striving to be as close to carbon neutral as possible.  We'll get there but it's a long journey.  You can see what we're up to in our ecotourism section.

Hervey Bay, Fraser Island and the Fraser Coast (in general) offer incredible scenery and an array of activities for everyone.  Whether you're a family with young (or older) kids, a couple or travelling solo, there's plenty to do in our stunning region.

Of course, if we haven't answered all your questions, we have our final FAQs.  There's plenty of information in here.  If you just can't get enough of us though, and you still have some unanswered questions, please feel free to call us on (07) 4125 6222 or email: info@whalesong.com.au.

Did you know Hervey Bay was named as the first whale heritage site in the world, in 2019?

It means we're as close to best practise sustainable and responsible whale and dolphin watching in the world.  Think of all the whale and dolphin watching places around the world....

It's certainly a huge accolade and something Whalesong Cruises, as part of the Hervey Bay whale watching fleet, is proud of.  There are only two such sites in the entire world - the other is in Durban, South Africa.

Of course, being a whale heritage site means we have a lot to live up to year after year.  With advanced ecotourism and a dedication to continually do the right thing, I think we'll be fine!
